Kingdom Publishers - Publish the Vision

Insight into the writing and publishing process can be gained through the understanding of Habakkuk 2:2-3 of The Holy Bible which reads:

Then the LORD answered me and said:

          "Write the vision

           And make it plain on tablets,
           That he may run who reads it.
           For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
           But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
           Though it tarries, wait for it;
           Because it will surely come,
           It will not tarry."

God told the Prophet Habakkuk to write (i.e. record) the vision that he had received from Him.  He was to operate as God's scribe by writing the vision in a clear, plain, and articulate manner; and he was to write it on tablets (i.e. on parchment, paper, or a place that could contain and display his writings).  In today's language, that would translate into writing the vision (dream, vision, witty ideas, or invention) on paper, a journal notebook, or to enter the information onto a computer.

God directed Habakkuk to write the vision in such a way, that it would cause (motivate and spur) the one who reads it -- to run with it.  God's Words are Spirit and they are life.  The runner was not to merely run with the writings, but had a greater purpose to run with and protect (guard) the vision.  The runner must be able to take the baton from the writer and carry the vision to the next level and/or through the finish line, because the written vision must be translated into a powerful vision that 'takes on life' in the natural realm here on earth.  You must know that your written messages, lessons, sermons, books, songs, web site, and manuals have a greater purpose than you have ever imagined.  They are part of the vision God is using to accomplish His will on earth as it is in heaven.  For this reason, you have had to overcome many obstacles to write the vision and the work has been in the development stages for a long time.  Know and believe that the vision is for a specific, appointed, "set" time that has been ordained by God, and that it will only come to pass when it is mature and you are mature and ready for God to birth it through you.

At the end of the writing and publishing process, it (the vision) will speak.  The work will speak for itself, and it will produce many opportunities and speaking engagements for you to share your experiences and proclaim God's Word.  This new work will present God's truth and it will not lie.  We live in a day when people are searching for truth and trying to understand what is reality -- what is true and what is false.  The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, and He will use this God-given vision to reveal truth to the body of Christ as well as to unbelievers who need salvation.

Through this Scripture passage, God reveals the fact that the vision tarries.  The word tarry means:  to remain or stay, as in a place; sojourn; to delay or be tardy in acting, starting, coming; to linger or loiter; to wait for or to wait.  In other words, the vision seems like it will never come to pass due to the amount of time it takes to come forth.  But, God's Word says:  "Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."  He is saying that you must exercise faith and demonstrate patience to wait on the vision.  God guarantees that it will surely come to pass and it will not delay.

The Scripture seems contradictory because on one hand, God is saying though the vision tarries, it will not tarry (delay); but on the other hand, He says that it will come to pass.  How can that be?  The Spirit of the Lord is saying that the vision is for His pre-determined appointed time.  It tarries, but when God's appointed time arrives, it will not delay in coming or reaching its destination.  There is a popular saying: "God may not come when you want Him to, but He's always right on time!"  This is true in terms of this passage in Habakkuk 2:2-3.  God makes all things beautiful in His time.

It is now time for you to get started in your role to "Write the Vision."
